Cheat meals aren't that fun anymore
When leaning you need to re-wire your brain to what you are consuming.
Watch your alcohol intake because this can mess with your metabolism and what you eat when your buzzed isn't usually the best.
Focus on low calorie diets, but you don't have to torchere yourself unless you're leading up to a show...
Keto Diets
Ketogenic diet is a very low-carb, high fat diet.
The basics of this diet is that you want to achieve the metabolic state called ketosis the whole time you are on the keto diet.
This metabolic state makes you the most efficient at burning fat and turning fat into ketones in the liver that can help brain activity.
You can lower insulin levels and your blood sugar by achieving this.
Tip: this is one of the only diets you can test your urine to see how many ketones you are producing in your urine.
Full body workouts with fun cardio
It is very beneficial to do a lot of body weight exercises to work out all the stabilizer muscles in your body.
Fasting cardio is where you do high energy workouts before you eat, being that the theory is you can burn more fat when your belly is empty.
I have always been the fun cardio type.
Hiking is good cardio
Playing sports like hockey or softball
Walking your dog or going on long walks
Tip: Don't bother trying to work your slow twitch muscles yet, so no need to run marathons.
Supplements

BCAA are composed of Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine. I have noticed a big change in physique when taking BCAA as an intra-workout drink. Remember though that most essential amino acids are in your protein so don't over do it.

Another supplement I like taking when I'm leaning up is a thermogenic. I prefer the CLA-Core because its ingredients aren't anything I can't pronounce. It uses mostly just oils from healthy fats to speed up your metabolism.
