JUST STARTING OUT?

  • When starting out, you will want to find a gym.

  • Tips: Every gym negotiates so get tell them exactly what you are looking for. ​

  • Less Stuff doesn't mean you can't get good workouts, just might need to improvise a little better.

  • Know how to stretch and what to stretch before each workout.

  • Know that eating less isn't as beneficial as it seems so be diet smart as well.

START TRACKING YOUR PROGRESS

  • I wish someone had told me to track everything on day 1. I would have loved to see how much I have accomplished throughout the years.

  • Bring a notebook into the gym every workout (Might seem weird at first, but you'll get used to it) and track personal weight and set information so you can become competitive to beat those numbers.​

  • Tips: some of the phone apps are handy, but you will get distracted if you have to keep getting on your phone, I promise. ​

SIX PACK ABS

  • There really isn't to much you can control about seeing your abs beside losing body fat.

  • Losing body fat is done the easiest through dieting.

  • When doing ab workouts you are not doing them to show your abs more, but to make them bigger and more defined when you start losing the body fat.

  • You will want to do as much weighted abdominal workouts as you can, not just crunches.

  • Tips: Genetics plays a big role on how your metabolism works, but so does your mental awareness and work ethic to do the things you know you have to do.​

SUPPLEMENTS

Do not rely on supplements for workouts, but educate yourself before using them. You don't have to take them just because you know someone who is.

Know a vasoconstrictor pre workout is caffeine heavy that gives more focus when working out.

A Vasodilator pre workout is arginine and nitric oxide heavy for more blood flow and more of a pump.

The only supplements I ever buy are pre workouts, post workouts (like protein), BCAA, and maybe a thermogenic.

When first starting out I liked NO-Xplode for a vasodilator because I would get a really good pump from taking this. I could tell it worked pretty well during my workout.

Be careful with beta-alanine pre workouts at first because this ingredient is made to help you focus, but it is known to make your skin feel like there are little needles pinching you. This is a very weird, but normal sensation while first taking them.

Also, I really liked a very low-calorie protein powder, preferable the gold standard whey. This was the best protein power for taste purposes and really helped fill my stomach up throughout the day or getting me through a workout.
