Checklist no.8
Learn to Laugh

This one is important. People seem to forget that laughter is the key in happiness and if you laugh more, the more happier you will be.

There are a lot of things we can do throughout our day to laugh more and smile. Being more positive about things can be step one.

My Example: My goal for "Learn to Laugh" is to focus everyday on laughing with others and to myself, and to smile more at others and everywhere I go.

DAY no.1

  • WATCH FUNNY VIDEOS

    • Watch a funny movie or funny clip online.

    • This is a good way to start to focus on laughing more throughout the week and can be very beneficial.

  • I have been into a Comedy Central Show called Nathan For You and have been literally laughing out loud to how insane some of the things are on this show. Some shows take up to 45 minutes to watch.

DAY no.2

  • FIND A STAND UP COMEDIAN THAT YOU LIKE

    • The best way to learn to laugh is by watching stand up comedy and can easily be done in the likeness of your own living room.

    • There are a lot of podcasts you can download or radio stations you can listen to on the way to work.

  • My favorite comedian of all time is Mitch Helberg and he definitely can get me laughing in any mood I'm in. This can take up to 10 minutes.

DAY no.3

  • SMILE MORE

    • This is another repeated checklist task, because it is very important to do more of and is so simple. Resting bitch face is not so engaging.

DAY no.4

  • MAKE SOMEONE LAUGH

    • This could be hard for some to do, but try to go around and make someone laugh. Go out of your comfort zone to make someone laugh.

    • Look up funny jokes or stories and try to see if someone you know wants to heard it. Sounds cheesy, but it will tighten your mood.

  • I typically would say that I usually make people laugh when I want to, so today I made it a point to try to make everyone laugh that I talked to throughout my day. This can take 1 minute in your day to make someone laugh.

DAY no.5

  • GO TO A COMEDY SHOW

    • Look for any big comedy shows in your town, some local free open mic nights, go to movie, etc.

    • Try to just go out in public to find a show that is funny.

  • I lucked out and got tickets to go see Nick Swardson live in Boulder, Co. This was awesome to see live and something about seeing someone live makes me laugh a lot harder.

DAY no. 6 & 7

  • WATCH FUNNY VIDEOS AND SUPPORT LOCAL COMEDY

    • Once again, to laugh can be done at your home, but if you can try to get out in public to watch live comedy.
