Try Different Food

There are so many different types of food out there that haven't even been tasted. Most people that I know don't try out new foods because it can be to much of a culture shock for them. I found out they are missing out and yes that person was me some years ago.

I never really had a reason to try other foods, but it is definitely now something to look forward to. I recommend you doing a little research on a restaurant or food that sounds interesting to you since our taste buds are mighty different, so you don't ruin your experience on your first meal.

My Example: My goal for "Try Different Foods" is to try something new of course, but something really exotic and different for this week.

DAY no.1

  • DO SOME RESEARCH ON FOOD

    • Watch the Food Network for a night and see if anything sparks your appetite.

    • Trying a different cultural food is ideal for this week, but something different within your usual diet is okay as well.

  • I have recently been watching "Chef's Table" on Netflix to see what is looking good and super exotic for this week.

  • There are a lot of articles online for things to eat that take 5 minutes to find and read.

  • Here is an Extreme article talking about top ten exotic foods: Click Here

DAY no.2

  • FIND WHERE THAT EXOTIC FOOD IS SOLD

    • You have the power at your fingertips to just type in anything on the internet and let them do the magic for you.

    • Asian Markets are fun to find unique things to try.

  • I live in Denver and never have had "Rocky Mountain Oysters" which we are known for, so I simply typed in, best Rocky Mountain Oysters in Denver and popped up the best selections. This took me about 1 minute to find ten options.

  • If you're not familiar with what these are...They are indeed animal testicles.

DAY no.3

  • GO AND TRY SOMETHING NEW

    • Unfortunately this will most likely cost money just like all other food. Sometime however depending on what you are wanting, this could be cheaper than other meals.

    • Find the restaurant best fitting and make an experience out of it.

  •  I ended up finding a place called "The Rocky Mountain Oyster Bar" that I went to and believe me, these things were amazing! I actually ended up liking them a little to much that I weirded out my fiancé.

  • This took us about 1.5 hours to start to finish.

DAY no.4

  • FIND A RECIPE YOU LIKE ONLINE

    • There are a lot of recipes online and I'm sure if your on social media you see a lot of cool things to make at home, but never try to make it.

    • Here is your chance to go onto Pinterest and find a unique take on your favorite meal and write down the ingredients you need.

  • I have always seen fun recipes on how to make protein balls and wanted to try some out for once. I just went online and searched for protein ball recipe and picked one that looked good.

DAY no.5

  • BUY INGREDIENTS AND MAKE THE RECIPE

    • This will cost some money as well so make sure you are excited to go home and make whatever recipe you decided on.

    • Also, if you can, this is a good time to purchase something super unique at the grocery store. Go down cultural aisles to see if anything catches your eye.

  • For my protein balls, it consisted of very simple ingredients that fortunately I had most of at the house.

  • They turned out amazing and only took about 30 minutes to make.

DAY no. 6 & 7

  • WATCH FOOD VIDEOS AND EXPLORE

    • Try to share your new food experience with friends and family to make this week a little more fun.
