Checklist no.3
Reach Out to Someone

This checklist is mainly to just dedicate this week to go back to your roots and actually reach out to someone and telling them you're thinking of them. I know by now you have heard it, that social media creates this illusion that you are connected with someone who just posts a picture online.

I was a victim of this and forgot to actually connect in the "real world" and actually give someone a call, or heck even go get some coffee with someone like an old friend, family member, whoever.

MY EXAMPLE: My goal for "Reach out to Someone" is to reach out to some new everyday through something other than social media.

DAY no.1

  • GIVE SOMEONE A CALL

    • Call a Facebook Friend or catch up with someone. Let them talk and listen to how much their life has changed. Its pretty cool how much people have changed throughout the years and they usually like telling you.

  • Remember when you called people instead of texted people. Try it out again, even just for a five minute conversation. I love my friends that just call for no reason.

DAY no.2

  • TEXT AN OLD FRIEND

    • We can go modern on this day and just text someone random that we haven't contacted in a long time and have a similar conversation.

  • Just cause you know them through everything they post on social media, doesn't mean you actually know who they are anymore. Catch up with them.

DAY no.3

  • MAIL A LETTER

    • This is a repeat of other checklists because it is that much fun. When was the last time you received a letter in the mail?

DAY no.4

  • ASK SOMEONE TO MEET UP

    • Reach out to someone and ask if they would like to get a coffee or drink somewhere.

  • Remember that this can kind of come off creepy, so at least contact this person at least once before just asking... unless you're me, than just be creepy. I have re-kindled some of the best friendships just by asking them to hang out.

DAY no.5

  • REACH OUT TO SOMEONE YOU SEE EVERYDAY

    • Don't forget to show some attention to those around you that mean the most. Let them know how much you care for them being a part of your life. â€‹

  • Roommates need lovin too.

DAY no. 6 & 7

  • KEEP IN CONTACT

    • If you liked reaching out to someone over this week, see what that person is doing for the weekend.

    • Invite them out with you and your friends.

    • Just keep the conversation alive even if its for 5 minutes a day.
