Take a Cold Shower

This might sound strange, but there are benefits to taking cold showers. Cold shock therapy is actually something fun to look forward to do.

Cold shock therapy can increase testosterone, energy, and promote healthier skin. Also, cold showers is a ritual in a lot of cultures that have shown to improve a lot of things health wise.

My Example: My goal for "Take a Cold Shower" is to actually take a full cold shower.

DAY no.1

  • TAKE A LUKE WARM SHOWER

    • Try to stray away from the cozy hot showers. Hot showers can tend to dry out the skin and is harsh for the skin.

    • When starting out, take it down a notch. Start to train your body to the colder temperature.

  • Here I took a 10 minute shower with just look warm water and you can tell a difference right when you get out of the shower. My face was definitely not as dry like it normally is.

DAY no.2

  • TAKE A LUKE WARM SHOWER AND 30 SECOND COLD

    • When finished with your shower, turn on cold and count to 30 seconds. Try to control your breathing and you will eventually start getting use to the ice cold water.

  • The 30 seconds of freezing water was terrible F.Y.I. but quite refreshing when finished. I felt awake and energized.

DAY no.3

  • TAKE A HALF LUKE, HALF COLD

    • During your shower and half through your routine, turn the shower to cold and try to finish your shower.

    • It helps when you distract yourself as much as possible like cleaning out your hair, washing your face, etc.

  • This is quite refreshing actually and I feel my body is getting more use to the temperature.

DAY no.4

  • START THE SHOWER WARM, SWITCH TO COLD WHEN CLEANING

    • Start your shower warm and right before you start to clean yourself, turn to cold and finish your shower with cold.

  • This started to become easy for me and I looked forward to turning it cold for some reason. I started seeming more focused throughout my day.

  • I noticed that taking cold showers in the mornings were easier than taking cold showers at night when I wanted to be more relaxed.

DAY no.5

  • TODAY IS THE DAY, TAKE A FULL COLD SHOWER

    • Today take a cold shower and try to take a long one.

  • I ended up taking a 20 minute cold shower, just like I would when it was hot water. First, I saved money on my gas bill, Second I felt more refreshed and my skin felt softer, and Third I felt more focused when I stepped out.

DAY no. 6 & 7

  • TRY TO KEEP TAKING COLD SHOWERS OR AT LEAST LUKE WARM

    • I felt some results within the first week, so I feel like this is a good habit to get into for myself.
